I heard some years ago at an event Marius Ștefan from Autonom saying that sometimes money is not made where there is major competition (digital agencies), but in the blue ocean (car rentals).
It’s simple – it’s rather easy to start a digital agency, and they’re lots of players on the market.
A car rental company? Harder to launch, more difficult to manage and grow.
You should write bad, terrible jokes until you write mediocre ones.
Then write mediocre ones, until you write average jokes.
And so on and so on.
Exceptional jokes don’t come with the first joke you write, but with many failed ones.
Nicolae Steinhardt read a lot of literature and in „The Happiness Diary” he synthesizes the most beautiful ideas of Orthodoxy.
If you start reading for yourself, some notes that you’ll take will be his.
Of course, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do your own research.
Nicolae Steinhardt read a lot and consumed a lot of art forms to finally reach his level.
Why are Christians joyful and happy?

Forgetting to write down less important things helps me write down a lot more very important things.
It’s good to have experience, especially by mistake you learn, even if it hurts.

But they help in creating better ones.

I once had a small talk with a therapist – I said I would like to live longer, forever perhaps (medicine might allow for this).
He was surprised and asked me if I would really like such a life.
It made me wonder.
In conclusion, I think I’ll probably be pretty bored, not to mention the lack of energy I’d have as an old person.
All life is a trauma in one way or another.
Any experience leaves a mark on you.
Some hurt you, some you like.
You remember the pain sometimes, and when you find joy, it’s like a mouthful of oxygen for a man standing underwater.
Life is built on traumas.
These days I listened to some person saying something in the line of – when you see some famous actor playing an apparently minor role in the movie, it’s likely that the person will appear again in the movie because they will more likely have an important role.
Conclusion? See a known actor – expect them to play a bigger role.
Right now, I feel that I’m a picky old man – I’m getting older, I’m pretentious, I put boundaries.
And I try to avoid these so much!
Generally, school (at least in Romanian State schools) doesn’t make you street smart.
You learn in school some things, some useful, some useless in business and everyday life.
Being the 1st in school does not guarantee later success.
The solution? Learn well in school, but be active in extra-curricular activities – have hobbies, go to events, help NGOs, go to art activities.
