It’s nice to choose your partner, among other criteria, on attractiveness.

On the other hand, some people tend to only look at this and ignore other traits.

Sure, it matters; we’re built like this. But it should not be the main criterion, in my opinion.

Let’s say you want to do something small. Why it’s best not to postpone a task?

The main reason is that even if you wait only for a few hours when faced with that task, you’ll need to remember the context.

If days and weeks pass, it will be even harder.

The solution? Avoid postponing tasks.

Whenever people ask others to do CSR activities, they tend to say, “You should CSR because not only is it something good for everyone, but it also specifically benefits you.”

I don’t think that’s the optimal approach. To me, this is a bit like telling a friend, “For helping me, I’ll pay you, but I’ll only pay you 50% of the market value.”

If I were to ask a friend for a service, I’d either pay them full or pay them nothing. That 50% is demotivating.

This is the same for CSR – people either do things for a direct benefit (profit), or for the sake of doing something good.

If you tell someone, “do CSR, and you’ll also partially benefit from this yourself”, it might prove a negative motivator.

Most of all, because it’s a story from which you get nothing.

After watching a movie, re-watching the most important scenes via a trailer is a good idea.

But prior to it, watching the scenes in a trailer only gives you a very approximate idea of what the movie is about.

The whole thing about the movie is not about some scenes but how the things get connected in a story.

And you can’t have a story well told in a minute or two.

There’s a saying that goes “The shoemaker always wears the worst shoes”.

I see people having done a lot websites not having a website of their own.

On possible explanation, in my opinion? They might hate making websites.

If they’d love making websites, they’d have one on their own.

Also, it’s like punctuality – if you come to the meeting on time, you are already late, as you should have come earlier.

You should not only have a website, but a website on which you put a lot of effort.

Things change, I don’t like to make plans two years from now.

It’s not that bad, but it’s not great, either.

It’s good to make plans, but also to have the ability to adjust them.

There are two ways of looking at love:

• “I can love everyone, but especially those enemies. They are bad and evil, but still, I love them. Evil exists, but it doesn’t bother me.”
• “I love anyone. I think enemies don’t exist; the whole world is made of friends. If there are people that do bad deeds (I don’t they are, but they might be), I will consider they do evil out of a lack of knowledge, AND I will also consider that it’s totally fine for me to go through the bad stuff.”

I prefer the latter option.

I think:

• Every bad thing can be attributed to a lack of knowledge/intelligence. If I can do this, it’s very easy to forgive.
• I also think that if a bad thing happens to me, it is totally fine.

Some people ask: “How are people in the USA? What’s the difference between them and Romanians?”

I liked a lot Jim Bagnola‘s answer to this question (very approximate quote): there are a lot of differences between individuals. Some people have special particularities, tempers, and personalities. The generalization “Americans are like that” tends to be false.

On the other hand, there are some studies that can show differences. Sure, you won’t get a specific answer, there are like differences from various parts of Romania, like they are from a US State to another, or even within a State, or even in various spaces within a city.

But there are some studies that give insights on how the “average” American differs from the “average” Romanian.

But Mr. Bagnola is right – you’re more likely to meet some extremes, rather than the average. Personalities matter more than things related to the culture of a country.
