Acum mulți ani, tocmai în 2009, mergeam într-un BlogTrip (excursie cu blogul, adică BlogTrip) organizat de Bobby Voicu. Pyuric zice că pentru proiectul Monden.info (re-brand-uit ulterior), Bobby i-a spus să nu facă, inițial, SEO. Mai mult, a blocat accesul motoarelor de căutare către site. Proiectul era pur online, aparent aveai nevoie de SEO. Ulterior, după ce proiectul a prins aripi, a fost permis accesul și site-ul a beneficiat de SEO. Am stat ceva timp să mă gândesc la ideea asta. Însă înainte să „disec” motivația care stă în spatele afirmației – „de ce e bine să începi un proiect oarecare cu mai puțină promovare?”, dau niște dileme recente de-ale mele. Așadar, în loc să rezolv dilema inițială „cum vine asta?”, o să fac opusul, și o să o cresc.

Soluția e simplă – faci un cont de Twitter, te abonezi la câteva surse de trafic importante, și legi contul respectiv de Nuzzel. Nuzzel îți arată apoi top tweets din rețeaua respectivă. Dacă te abonezi la câteva sute de oameni din PPC / SEO, o să ai în top doar surse din domeniul respectiv.

One friend recently asked me how should he/she learn communication and manipulation. What are the best opportunities to learn this in Romania? She plans to change the world for the better.

My first answer to this will be spiritual: Nicolae Steinhardt, a writer I admire, says that people these days are hungry for two things: love and life meaning. („De ce îi este omului de astăzi foame? De iubire și de sens.”)

My dear friend, wanting to change the world for the better with communication / manipulation aims for both two things – you want to give life a meaning, and you do so by loving others.

Hold to with this thought, now we’ll leave spirituality and go down, down below. There’s darkness, don’t worry, at the end things will be fine. Hold tight, it’s a bumpy ride.

I’ll answer this question rationally by avoiding the question so much that when I’ll finally answer your mind will be influenced by the other stories I will tell you.

De ce scriu articolul?

Sunt 3 tipuri de oameni care o să vadă linkul către articolul de față – 10% o să fie indignați de ce scriu, pe diferite motive, probabil toate justificate. Pentru 80% articolul nu va însemna mare lucru, nici în bine, nici în rău. Pentru 10% va însemna, sper, vreau, m-aș bucura, ceva. Pentru acești oameni am scris articolul.

Aveți multe motive să nu citiți articolul. Dacă vreți să treceți peste ele, și să citiți, totuși, articolul, vă invit să intrați. Dar nu vă descălcați, intrați așa, că la Londra oamenii intră încălțați în casă.

TL;DR: As far as I suggest, you should learn online marketing by practicing, not by attending classes.

There are two ways of learning programming:

  • Studying for 4 years in a College and then practicing somewhere.
  • Learning by doing. You get a problem, you learn how to solve it, and you increase, step-by-step, the difficulty of programming.

If you’re 18, I think it’s a good idea to learn programming by going to a college. If you’re 30, and want to work full-time, though, I think the former option is the better one. You’ll not be as great a programmer in the beginning, but you’ll learn on the fly.
