I’ve seen „Soul” (2020). Thoughts? (with spoilers!)
- The movie is all about the pleasure of enjoying things.
- Generally, it doesn’t „tell” you – this is good, this is right. It leaves room for error. Yes, at times, it does tell you that wool is better than polyester, or you shouldn’t eat junk food. But, generally, things are not that evenly split.
- I liked the way the characters were designed/drew. They looked nice. Actually, the whole graphics part was great.
- Also, the sounds. You’d expect that from a movie on Jazz, but they managed to get good music/sounds.
- I liked the fact that the movie seemed to go in one direction, then – Boom! – everything changes. It’s not a script in which you expect what comes next.
- It remembered me of Inside Out (2015).
- It’s a movie for adults, not children. It is funny, it is insightful, it is a cartoon, but it’s a rather difficult movie.
- I plan to see it again at a later time. Very nice movie!
