My view on Will Smith and the Oscars

My view on Will Smith and the Oscars?

The real issue is that there are two opposite evils:

  • It’s wrong to make fun of someone’s health issues.
  • It’s wrong to use physical aggression as a response to an oral comment.

The thing is, you need to compare the two evils and notice that Will Smith did the „wronger” evil, if there’s such thing.

It was a poor night for artists everywhere, but especially for the people who were awarded an Oscar that night, and the spotlight was not on them anymore (via Jim Carrey).

Too important to waste time on small things

Onasill ~ Bill - Onasill ~ OFF - For The Holidays - Toronto Ontario - Canada - Allan Gardens Botanical Gardens - The Most Unique Cacti

Once, a friend told me – „I hope you’ll become someone important because you avoid doing small chores”.

Thoughts:

  • I should have done the small things; even if I considered myself to be the busiest man in the world;
  • I don’t think I became a great man; once, I told a person I’m a freelancer, and that person was curious if I wanted something more in my life.

Small chores are important, kids! :)

Saying yes to opportunities

Hudsӧn - music for eyes

Just as it is almost proverbial that, if you want any business done for you, you should ask a busy man to do it, and not a man of leisure, so it is the laborious scholar, who is working hard at languages, who picks up, nay, actually reads and studies more of other subjects than the rest of his fellows at school or college.

Reverend W. J. Kennedy, who was the Inspector of Schools for Lancashire and the Isle of Man in Britain, 1856

I know a person who told me to organize an event with an HR trainer. I did it, and it was a good idea, we had a few sessions.

One friend suggested I should organize a series of events. I did it and it went well.

Another friend suggested we should join our little forces and create a big event. We did it.

One friend asked me to co-author a book. I did it.

I’m amazed on how well it went for me while saying „Yes” to opportunities.

Boy changes name to ‘reconnecting’ on Zoom to trick teacher, netizens call him ‘genius’

Tooluri de SEO făcute să te sperie

Chris Arnold: @ChrisArnoldInc – My wife is a teacher and apparently one kid has been changing his name to ‘Reconnecting’ during the Zoom lessons so that he doesn’t get asked any questions. Been doing it for weeks. The lad doesn’t need to worry about his education, he’s already a bona fide genius.

Arnold’s tweet soon took the internet by storm with netizens joking that they are not sure whether they should be excited that the future is bright or worry that the schoolboy may choose a political career.
