On the Pareto Principle

The Pareto Principle is, in my opinion, at times, poorly understood. Let me detail a bit.

Yes, if you have a list of 100 tasks, it may happen that 20% of them generate the vast majority of results.

On another hand, this doesn’t mean you should apply the principle without any questioning.

Sure, it’s good to focus on the most important results-bringing activities, on another hand it matters that you focus on the, perhaps less relevant, other 80%.

I disagree with this principle:

No “yes.” Either “HELL YEAH!” or “no.” | Derek Sivers:
If you’re not saying “HELL YEAH!” about something, say “no”.
