Primul lucru pe care am nevoie să îl fac este să am o metodă prin care să rețin fapta – fie mă gândesc la ea, o retrăiesc mental, fie o notez undeva. Ulterior, caut o formă de recunoștință.
Desigur, asta se întâmplă extrem de parțial – realmente nu aș putea mulțumi îndeajuns tuturor care mă ajută.
Trăim în lume, și sunt atâtea lucruri pentru care să fii recunoscător, încât nu mi-ar ajunge timpul.
Dar măcar să pun un început, pot.
I often see this – a lot: „What differentiates a successful man from an ordinary person?”.
Lots of gurus will try to tell you, „Oh, the successful person does so-and-so, unlike the regular persons.”
In my opinion, a lot of such assertions are false.
Being successful is generally a combination of hard work, intelligence, human skills, motivation, and luck. It’s actually quite simple—put in the work, be motivated, have some intelligence (social and general), and hope for luck.
But it’s much cooler to imagine, „Oh, the successful people are different from me on a few specific points.”
But I consider the assertion to be false.
Sayings like „Find out here what separates the very successful people from the unsuccessful ones” are aimed only at sounding fancy, not providing value.
Can you get a nosocomial infection while visiting a hospital? Possibly.
Is it better to avoid the hospital at all costs due to this? Most likely not.
When you read the news, all sorts of things get a lot of attention—plane crashes, fires, accidents.
But you are more likely to suffer from a heart issue. And heart issues are more in people’s control than some of the things that make news headlines.
I like to insist. I enjoy pushing. I am pro-„try more”.
I tend to be a Shaper on the Belbin Team Roles.
On the other hand, there’s a downside – there’s a risk of nagging others, annoying people, and not caring.
There’s also the risk that I only get to support others’ plans instead of starting things.
Good and bad, both at the same time.
Sometimes, I try to be of service, and bad things happen.
Sometimes, I try to help, and people get upset.
I don’t think I have the right not to have something negative happen to me.
Even if you try to live healthy, accidents happen.
Even if you generally perform fine, some clients will be upset.
I try not to expect that life owes me something, and I have the right to receive only good things.
Some people ask for donations on their birthdays.
The result is generally good – some NGOs get more donations.
I prefer not to do it, though.
To consider that:
#1 I’m entitled to receive something, my friends owe me something;
#2 The NGO/cause I support is of better money than what my friends would generally do with their money;
are both false, at least to me.
I don’t think I’m entitled, and if my friends prefer not to help an NGO but buy ice cream, I think that the money is well spent.
I have friends who constantly give me news on the end of the world: how to build a bunker, what nuclear powers will do, and when will the next big war start.
These friends tend to spend some time reading about things but fail to act on their readings.
They don’t move to Antarctica, they don’t build a bunker, and they don’t hide in the closet.
As I view it, you’re much more likely to have issues with stability, and you could train your body equilibrium using exercises.
Also, you’re much more likely to be affected by alcohol, bad food, and not sleeping enough, much rather than what North Korea will do next.
If all you do is read what could go wrong, but you act on nothing like this, then, in my opinion, it doesn’t help.
Sure, if you think an earthquake will come, and you are a prepper and do things, that’s fine—read about earthquakes.
But if all you do is accumulate anxiety and do nothing about it, reading about a war in another part of the world does not help.
So, how will the world end? Likely, not via a catastrophe, but by falling from a ladder because you are not exercising enough and don’t have enough dexterity. Read about practical things, not things that are out of your control/interest but give you anxiety.

Dețin niște căști Sony cu zonă tactilă, am avut înainte niște căști cu butoane fizice pentru înainte/înapoi și nu înțeleg de ce ar exista pe piață căști cu zonă tactilă pentru next/previous.
Ascult la căști și când vreau să schimb melodia să trebuiască să fac swipe într-un anumit fel mi se pare o soluție nefericită.
E criteriu de selecție ale căștilor pentru căștile viitoare – buton fizic pentru melodia următoare, aproape nimic altceva nu e atât de important.
Problema principală? La căștile cu zonă tactilă nu ai feedback – nu ești 100% sigur că ai făcut gestul potrivit, sunt melodii care încep cu o zonă cu volum minim, și durează până ai înțeles dacă ai dat Next Song sau Play/Pause.
