De ce să nu îl folosești pentru Google?
Recently we received some questions about how Google uses (or more accurately, doesn’t use) the “keywords” meta tag in ranking web search results. Suppose you have two website owners, Alice and Bob. Alice runs a company called AliceCo and Bob runs BobCo. One day while looking at Bob’s site, Alice notices that Bob has copied some of the words that she uses in her “keywords” meta tag. Even more interesting, Bob has added the words “AliceCo” to his “keywords” meta tag. Should Alice be concerned?
At least for Google’s web search results currently (September 2009), the answer is no. Google doesn’t use the “keywords” meta tag in our web search ranking.

Here’s the other problem – Meta keywords has been used as a negative ranking signal, and probably still is to some degree. In other words, you might not gain much or anything from using it, but if you spam it, you could get devalued. My gut feeling is that the negative signal is much, much stronger than the positive one, and even Google may still use it as a negative signal. I’m certain that Yahoo/Bing has used it as a negative signal (not sure if they still do).

PS, 2022.03.26: Sunt două mari soluții de eliminare a tagului:
- Pot fi golite toate tagurile meta keywords din site, să nu mai conțină niciun cuvânt.
- Poate fi ascuns tagul din frontend, să fie vizibil doar în backend, și ignorat. Adică: Google nu va mai vedea tagul deloc, site-ul, chiar dacă are pentru fiecare pagină niște meta keywords pentru pagini, nu le va mai afișa efectiv. Poate fi o soluție mai rapid de implementat.

Sa fiu sincer eu ma folosesc de meta tag-uri destul de mult, sunt inebunit de acei norisori, pentru ca asa practic gasesc mai usor tematica dorita, insa mi se pare ca e un anumit procent de trebuie scapat, doar ca nu imi vine in minte, undeva sub 5% oare?

Meta tag-ul keywords nu are nicio legătură cu tag-urile din WordPress.
Dacă ți se pare util să ai tag-uri în WordPress, asta nu înseamnă nimic referitor la meta keywords.
De asemenea, nu există nicio legătură între meta keywords și keyword stuffing.
Legat de keyword stuffing, și procentul corect, te-aș sfătui să ignori pur și simplu acest lucru.
Dacă ai o pagină pe o anumită temă, vei folosi un cuvânt cheie ca subiect de propoziție.
