In my opinion, when a young person chooses between a job and college, they only wish to succeed. College is just a tool, like a job, or a computer, or AI, or the Internet etc. A person simply thinks that to succeed, you can choose a job rather than do a college.
Regarding the meme that is attached to this blog post – nobody asks you whether you want to learn or not. You are forced to learn.
Whenever the first sportsman went under 10 seconds, this became a rule – everyone can now run lower than 10 seconds. Once a record in speed, whether it is at 100 m, or a Marathon race, everybody sets themselves to do this.
The rules are set as such that you will likely be forced to learn, and nobody is asking you whether you wish to or not.
