I’ve read „12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos” – by Jordan Peterson. Thoughts (with spoilers!)?
- The book is good, I give it a 4/5 rating.
- To me, the rules are just a pretext for something more. So, in the book, it all starts from a general life rule, but when the author chooses to exemplify, to put into context each rule, that’s when the magic starts.
- I liked this quote: “No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reach down to hell.” ― Carl Jung.
- On another hand, I didn’t write any idea from the book.
- But I did like the way the book was structured, the flow of ideas, the comparisons, the examples. Very enjoyable and smart.
- I liked most of the books he quoted, although I haven’t read all (even most) of them.
