We’ll See – A Chinese Proverb | IMPOSSIBLE:
Once upon a time, there was an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years.
One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. āSuch bad luck,ā they said sympathetically, āyou must be so sad.ā
āWeāll see,ā the farmer replied.
The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it two other wild horses.
āHow wonderful,ā the neighbors exclaimed! āNot only did your horse return, but you received two more. What great fortune you have!ā
āWeāll see,ā answered the farmer.
The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune. āNow your son cannot help you with your farming,ā they said. āWhat terrible luck you have!ā
āWeāll see,ā replied the old farmer.
The following week, military officials came to the village to conscript young men into the army. Seeing that the sonās leg was broken, they passed him by. The neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well things had turned out. āSuch great news. You must be so happy!ā
The man smiled to himself and said once again.
āWeāll see,ā
