GoTech World 2025, the largest business IT and digital solutions expo-conference in Central and Eastern Europe, brings audiences an extraordinary show at the intersection of art and robotics. “The Robot Cellist,” the visionary project of international artist Fredrik Gran, will demonstrate how technology can rewrite the role of classical instruments and the performer, opening a new era of musical expression. In addition, over the two days of the event, dozens of globally renowned speakers will take the 11 stages to explore the latest trends in technology and business.
A performer who has captivated audiences across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, appearing in Bucharest for the first time.
Created by Swedish composer Fredrik Gran, “The Robot Cellist” reinterprets the cello through technology, transforming it into an instrument that transcends classical boundaries and opens new forms of artistic expression, where acoustic tradition blends with innovation and contemporary composition. Already featured on stages across Europe, the United States, and Asia, the robot cellist has impressed both as a soloist and alongside prestigious ensembles—from the Malmö Symphony Orchestra and the Stockholm Concert Orchestra Quartet to collaborations with visionary artists.
The creator, Fredrik Gran, originally from Stockholm, is a composer and multimedia artist internationally recognized for his research into the musical potential of mechanical processes and for the innovative performance strategies he proposes. His music spans a wide palette—from orchestral and chamber works to installations, visual art, and electroacoustic music.
The „Robot Cellist” moment in Bucharest promises to be one of the most memorable in this edition’s program, marking a premiere for audiences in the region.
