I agree with this assertion:
“Just gotta say the auto-shazam is such an underrated feature.”

What does it do?

Let’s say you go to an event like a party where there is lots of music, or you go out to a cafe and there is music, or you go to a theater play (note – this might not adhere to the theater’s rules). You just hit Auto Shazam, and at the end of the event, you have a list of the songs that played during that time.

How do you use it?

  1. Open the Shazam app.
  2. Tap and hold the Shazam button on the screen.

If you have an iPhone, you can long-press the app on the main screen.

AI and human jobs

Follow-up: Conferința GPeC – GPeC SUMMIT. Ediție Aniversară – 20 de ani de GPeC (2025.05.27, TNB)

(I got this idea from a recent GPeC conference)

Regarding the topic of AI’s influence on jobs, marketing can, in simple terms, be divided into three categories:

  1. (takes little time and effort) The creative side (strategy and ideation);
  2. (takes more time and effort) Production and analysis (which support the creative side);
  3. Marketing technology and operational marketing.

AI will simplify the Production and Analysis part. Yes, there will be people who lose their jobs.

But what will companies do with the savings, given that every player in the market will have access to the cost reductions in category b.?

Smart companies will take those resources and invest them in a. and/or c.

That’s why you should be optimistic about the future of marketing and AI.

You can work from anywhere! Everywhere is a good working space

I think that the assertion: “You work with the Internet, therefore you can work from anywhere!” is only half-true.

Allow me to explain myself.

There are three major ways of working online:

  • From a mobile phone; (a tablet is generally similar to this, although closer to a laptop)
  • From a laptop;
  • From a desktop computer; (it can run different operating systems – Linux/Windows/MacOS)

Generally, on a mobile phone you can do communication and basic browsing. You don’t have all the features of a desktop browser, and you are also unproductive. Working with Word documents or Excel files, while not 100% impossible, is difficult.

I recently went to a large entity to help with software/hardware issues, although this is far from my first specialization.

Someone, at some point, bought a printer for the entity and made it work for a computer, then another.

Someone else bought another printer and made it work for a couple of computers.

Yet, I am almost certain that there have been issues with connectivity on the new computers.

The people who initially installed the printers left no written procedures.

How do you install another printer?

The computers I worked on had almost always the same issue: how do I install the printer?

No one from the original IT team left a written procedure on how to solve this.

Nicolae-Iordache Iordache has written about procedures and written documentation for doctors.

Computer doctors also need to create procedures and written documentation.

Self-driving cars are going to be a huge transformational disruption, and they’re probably going to happen faster than most people expect.

Starting in cities, starting with car-sharing, the economics and safety implications are too big to avoid:

I’m surprised that this hasn’t happened yet.

We have Bolt, we have Uber, we have people paying for a new form of taxis.

Yet, I see almost no one carpooling.

There are options:

No matter where you’re going, by bus or carpool, find the perfect ride from our wide range of destinations and routes at low prices.

Yet, these seem to be much less popular than Uber/Bolt.

Hopefully, with self-driving cars, carpooling will rise (from almost zero, I dare presume).

Pe 27 mai 2025, la Teatrul Național București, a avut loc Conferința GPeC – GPeC SUMMIT: o zi întreagă de conferință despre tot ce e actual în E-Commerce și Marketing Online, alături de 19 experți consacrați internaționali și români și networking cu elita Digital Marketing.

Au fost două zile memorabile de eCommerce și Digital Marketing – Ediție Aniversară – am împlinit 20 de ani de GPeC.

În paralel cu Conferința GPeC din 27 Mai 2025, s-a desfășurat GPeC Expo care a reunit peste 25 de furnizori de servicii E-Commerce și Digital Marketing pentru a înlesni parteneriatele dintre aceștia și magazinele online aflate în căutarea de soluții pentru dezvoltarea afacerii.

În seara de 27 Mai, începând cu ora 18:10, invitații au fost așteptați la GPeC Networking Soirée – prilej de networking și socializare alături de reprezentanții C-Level ai celor mai importante companii din E-Commerce, Digital și Retail.

Eu am fost pe data de 22 mai 2025. În acea seară a avut loc și un concert “Oda Bucuriei”, susținut de Teatrul Național de Operă și Balet “Oleg Danovski”.

Pe Substack sunt 3 variante de abonare:

  • Complet gratuit, nu cere nimic;
  • Freemium, cu diferite forme – un mesaj din 2-3 e premium SAU îți dă o parte din mesaj free și cere plată pentru restul;
  • Complet cu plată.

Depinde de newsletter, poți alege una din cele trei opțiuni ca creator de conținut.

Partea bună la Substack e că nu dezabonează dacă nu citești o perioadă mailul.

Partea rea e că de fiecare dată când intri pe un site al unui newsletter îți cere să te abonezi, uneori chiar dacă ești abonat dacă nu mă înșel.

De asemenea, din perspectiva celor fac newsletter-ele, e ca un fel de YouTube – ai multe facilități, dar ești captiv platformei.

Dacă aș avea de ales, aș prefera să fac un newsletter cu un serviciu clasic de newsletter, cum e MailChimp. Agreez mult mai mult libertatea oferită.

Pentru mine, Substack vs. domeniul propriu e ca la video: Le pui pe YouTube sau TikTok pentru audiență, dar accepți că depinzi foarte mult de platformă.

Și dacă ești pe YouTube, dar vrei la un moment dat să pleci de acolo (sau ești dat afară), nu ai acces la aproape nimic. Audiența era pe YouTube, s-a abonat la tine, dar rămâne pe YouTube dacă vrei să pleci.

Cei de la Starea Nației, dacă nu mă înșel, au zis la un moment dat ceva de genul – “Am încercat să folosim propriile platforme, dar pe YouTube e o mare audiență”.

OK, e bine pe YouTube, ai multe lucruri. Dar depinzi de lucruri care nu sunt în controlul tău.
