Le lectorat de roumain a le plaisir de vous proposer une série de cours-conférences organisés à l’Université libre de Bruxelles via Teams et sur le Campus de Solbosch, série qui a débuté en 2010, ayant pour conférence inaugurale celle de Monsieur Răzvan THEODORESCU, Vice-Président de l’Académie roumaine : Deux esthétiques chrétiennes apparentées: orient et occident…

La thématique qui a réuni les trois conférences du mercredi 16/03/2022 est: Mythes de la cultuture roumaine. Tradition et contemporanéité [Mituri ale culturii române. Tradiție și contemporaneitate].

Les trois invités ont été :

Wearing masks no matter what

While in high school, I once was about to cross the street on a designated place for that purpose (a zebra).

But the distance to the zebra was quite high, and the road was empty.

Still, I took the long path.

A good friend of mine was surprised by my decision.

Today, I still wear a mask whenever I go out, even if they’re not mandatory anymore.

In my opinion, you should try and do good no matter the circumstances.

La sfârșitul celei de-a doua săptămâni din Postul Mare (2022.03.18-19) a avut loc un Pelerinaj la mănăstirile Frăsinei și Bascovele, organizat de dr. Stelian Gomboș.

Deplasarea s-a realizat în zilele de vineri și sâmbătă (18 și 19 martie 2022).

Masa de vineri seara s-a servit la Mănăstirea Frăsinei.

Masa de sâmbătă, prânz, la Mănăstirea Bascovele.

Cazarea – la Mănăstirea Frăsinei.

Intelligence and Goodness

Thank you note

You don’t have to be a great scientist to be a good man.

You can have your flaws, but overall be a good man. That’s hard, not using the correct form of a word.

Knowing how to write properly is one way of being a good man, but not the only way.

On the other hand, you mustn’t despise the book. If you’re a nice person, yet lack some skills, don’t have a superior look at the people who know more than you. Knowledge is a form of power.

Should you read? Of course, but you should also try to be good.

Despre purtatul ceasului

În general, evit să port ceasuri.

Ceasul meu biologic mi se pare funcționează foarte bine și, în plus, mai recent nu stau atât de mult prin oraș.

Da, e o idee mai complicat să verifici ora la telefon, dar pentru mine e genul de complicație care îmi face bine – verific telefonul și ora mai rar, asta e de bine.

În plus, în ultimii ani mi-am făcut un obicei din a ajunge mai devreme la întâlniri, așa că dacă ajung cu 2 minute sau 12 mai devreme de ora stabilită nu contează atât de mult.

Nu mi se pare confortabil un ceas la mână, la modul general. Iar să stau și să îl pun/iau mi se pare o complicație.

Apoi, e o grijă și un stres în plus – să nu merg la mare cu ceas, să văd unde îl las, să am grijă de el.

Și mai e și partea cu ecologia, dacă pot consuma mai puțin, prefer să fac asta.

Pentru întâlniri mai business, sau alte ocazii în care am nevoie de un pic de eleganță, am un ceas “clasic” primit cadou, chiar cu numele meu de familie (există acest brand). Îl port foarte rar.

“De ce purtați ceas?” De mână.

A game of chess with a good player

Sometime during college, I went to a chess contest.

There were some excellent players in there, including the current National Champion.

I played some games, one with a player well beyond my abilities.

I remember he was attacking a lot, perhaps even ignoring defenses and some of my moves.

He beat me so tough at chess.

Morale – if you’re very good, and know your strength, you can insist on trying to win.
