DragoÈ™ Ekart, founder of CyberAxo Agency: Man learns in two ways: by imitation and by failure
Bucharest, June 4th 2024: Four speakers from the business world took the courage to be vulnerable in front of an audience and pass on their lessons at the 21st edition of Fuckup Nights Bucharest. In this international event, failures are celebrated as necessary parts of the professional journey. The event took place at BT Stup.
Oana Pascu, founder of Complice.ro, talked about the mistakes that shaped her as an entrepreneur and shared with the audience how important it is to have a backup plan to deal with failures. She also highlighted how valuable these experiences are for personal and professional growth: “Few fuckups really kill you. If I have one more fuckup, I might survive and I might even be okay.”
Tudor Cosăceanu, Vice President of UiPath Romania and Moldova, celebrated his birthday in the Fuckup Nights family. He talked about the importance of facing challenges with a lot of courage and how each failure taught him valuable lessons that helped him move forward and adapt. Through his experiences, he demonstrated that adaptability and the ability to learn from mistakes are crucial in the world of technology. “When you make a mistake, all you have to do is to admit it,” Tudor said.
Dragos Ekart, founder of CyberAxo Agency, discussed the struggles and failures that led him to find the right business for him. DragoÈ™ described how each failed project helped him refine his strategies and better understand the dynamics of the digital market. He shared how he accepted failures as part of the learning process and how they led him to build a successful agency, known for creative and effective approaches. ” Humans learn in two ways: by imitating other people and by failing. Failure is part of the learning process,” said DragoÈ™.
Călin Cîndea, co-founder of Maidan, concluded the evening by recounting how a personal trip to Nepal inspired him to reconsider his entire career and embrace entrepreneurship. Călin talked about how each business mistake guided him to discover opportunities and rediscover himself. “Fuckup is a super valuable thing that… You have to embrace it after you get past the suffering and everything else back there. And say, ‘Man, I learned a super painful but useful lesson’.”
The event was moderated by radio and TV journalist Julia Nagy.
Diana Iosu, founder of DiFine PR, the organiser of the event, underlined the significance of this event: „The 21st edition is an important milestone for the FUN community. Each story shared reflects courage and resilience – essential qualities we share and value in our community.”
