Fuckup Nights bring a constructive perspective on professional failures, encouraging learning from difficult situations, thus facilitating creativity.
“The ninth edition of FUN Bucharest brings together professionals from various fields so that we have the opportunity to extract different experiences, with a unique emotional and educational load, aspects that we can’t find in everyday life. This is the charm of Fuckup Nights: it urges curiosity, normalization of mistakes and, implicitly, progress”, says Diana Iosu of Fucked Up Nights Bucharest.
The moderator will be the radio and television journalist Julia Nagy.
“In my life, failure doesn’t exist. There are just results that do not match my expectations. But this is life … an adventure full of unpredictability and surprises. I accept this and I manage everything according to each situation”, says Chris Simion-Mercurian, one of the most successful theater directors in Romania and founder of Grivița 53 – The first theater built together.
Raluca Radu will share two important moments in her career that she always goes back to: “When we encounter them on our way, failures seem to be moments from which we want to escape as quickly as possible. However, when we look back on our journey, they prove to be the best teachers we have ever had. I will tell you 2 moments from my career and life that I always return to when I need to remember that I am strong but also to remind myself of my true values.”
A story about professional trials will be shared by Gabriel Trăistaru: “Failure taught me a lesson about attitude. We can’t control everything and I believe that’s very good. Once I accepted this fact, I was more flexible, more curious, more courageous, no longer judging others but instead, I looked for solutions instead of culprits. Failure has helped me become more humane.”
Chris Simion-Mercurian, one of the most famous theater directors in Romania, is recognized as having a modern, unique vision and rare aesthetical courage. She is the initiator of the UNDERCLOUD International Independent Theater Festival and Grivița 53 / G 53 project – The first theater built together.
