June Communications is launching a division dedicated to European projects and expanding its international strategic communications expertise

The agency already manages communications for European projects with budgets exceeding 15 million euros, carried out in more than 10 countries

Bucharest, April 9, 2026. The PR agency June Communications (JUNE) announces the launch of a strategic division dedicated to European Union-funded research and innovation projects, officially expanding its operations after eight years of experience in the business market. This represents a natural step in the agency’s evolution, as it currently manages communications for international consortia in critical fields such as sustainable agriculture and cybersecurity, with the aim of professionalizing the dissemination of scientific results and facilitating dialogue between research, the private sector, and civil society.

The new structure will function as a hub offering multidisciplinary resources and integrated services, covering the entire project lifecycle – from strategy and branding to dissemination, media relations, and the exploitation of results – with the aim of increasing the impact of European projects and facilitating dialogue between research, business, and society.

This decision comes at a time when European programs—particularly those related to the European Green Deal, sustainable agriculture, and innovation—are creating significant opportunities for public and private organizations, while also generating a growing need for expertise in communication, outreach, and stakeholder engagement. This market, supported by budgets of billions of euros at the European level, is driving the rapid professionalization of communication services dedicated to projects funded by European funds.

The new JUNE division offers integrated services covering the entire lifecycle of European projects: developing communication strategies, project branding, implementing campaigns targeting the general public and stakeholders, managing digital channels, media relations, organizing events for target communities, and supporting the dissemination of results in the post-project phase. The team also monitors the progress of initiatives after completion and how the results are implemented.

“We are seeing the European project market mature, including in Romania, where beneficiaries are beginning to understand that success is no longer defined solely by technical implementation, but also by the ability to communicate the project’s purpose, build stakeholder communities, disseminate results, and generate real impact. The launch of this division is a natural step for JUNE, given our experience in developing and implementing B2B projects for clients across diverse industries, including financial services, energy, technology, agriculture, professional services, and EU-funded projects. The opportunity to be part of international consortia, comprising up to 22 different entities from over 10 European countries, helps us apply the know-how from the business ecosystem to research and innovation projects, thereby contributing to the development of policies that bring long-term benefits at the European level,” states Iuliana -how from the business ecosystem to research and innovation projects, thereby contributing to the development of policies that bring long-term benefits at the European level,” says Iuliana Floricică, CEO and co-founder of June Communications.

The agency’s current portfolio includes participation in three European projects with a combined budget of over 15 million euros, spanning periods of three to five years, which address strategic issues at the European level: soil health and biodiversity, improving ecosystem services generated by healthy soils, transforming food systems, and cybersecurity in food supply chains.

The InBestSoil project, funded by Horizon Europe, aims to improve soil health and develop sustainable economic models for soil management. Given that approximately 60–70% of soils in the European Union are considered unhealthy and are at various stages of degradation, the initiative brings together stakeholders from research, government, and the private sector to identify scalable solutions.

BIOservicES focuses on leveraging ecosystem services and integrating biodiversity into agricultural practices, demonstrating that protecting biodiversity can generate direct economic benefits for farmers, land managers, municipalities, and society.

ACT4FOOD, funded through the Digital Europe Program, aims to strengthen cybersecurity throughout the food supply chain. The project is developing AI-based solutions for threat detection, rapid incident response, secure information exchange via blockchain technology, and the expansion of alert systems with cybersecurity notifications. The solutions will be validated in operational contexts within aquaculture, dairy production, and food retail

As part of these initiatives, JUNE provides services for communication, dissemination, and exploitation of results; coordinates dedicated work packages; develops visibility and engagement strategies; creates the visual and verbal identity of the projects; and manages social media presence. The team also carries out PR activities, produces editorial and digital content, and facilitates the transfer of expertise to relevant communities and decision-makers.

“Our experience with projects such as InBestSoil, BIOservicES, and ACT4FOOD has shown us that there is a real gap between research outcomes and the level of understanding or adoption in the market. Our role is to bridge this gap and facilitate an effective dialogue between science, business, and society,” adds Iuliana Floricică.

The European Projects Division will operate as a dedicated hub, with specialized resources and multidisciplinary expertise in communication and project management, capable of managing complex projects involving international partnerships and strict reporting and visibility requirements. Its launch reflects a broader industry trend: the transformation of communication from a formal obligation into a critical factor for validating results and attracting new funding.

Through this expansion, JUNE aims to become a strategic partner for organizations involved in European projects, helping to increase their visibility, relevance, and impact on the economy and society.
