I’ve seen „Dolor y gloria” (2019). Thoughts?
- It’s a nice movie, not extraordinary, but pleasant to watch. I hesitate between an 8/9, I guess a 9 out of 10 is fine.
- No special effects, nothing spectacular.
- No tough emotions, no power, no aggressivity.
- On another hand, on a more subtle level, even a bit deeper, I did get emotions. Memories, remembered things, recollections, all these are playing with you in the movie.
- The script wasn’t extraordinary, a bit boring at times, but, still, all in all, interesting to watch most of the time.
- I liked a lot seeing Antonio Banderas and Penélope Cruz. It’s like a very fond memory, nice actors, previously seen in other movies.
- When you say the director’s name, Pedro Almodóvar, you generally know what kind of movie to expect. This is this kind of movie – not hard, but a bit soft, not spectacular, but nice, not aggressive, but, still, emotional, not too powerful, but with emotions.
