I tend not to read what do others say about companies before joining them.
So, if, theoretically, I were to apply to Microsoft, I wouldn’t go on forums where people share insights on what’s inside (besides Pentium).

How to send a 10 GB file to someone else?
I find that it’s rather easy to send a large file via Google Drive, or another solution. Most of them are free and offer good upload/download speeds.
On the other hand, I see people using services that allow people to use services (I won’t name them) that allow sending of tens of GBs (gigabytes) of data.
The downside? The download speed is very slow, it takes hours to download a few GBs of data.
Why do people prefer this?
It’s easier to send files via such services than to use Google Drive / One Drive / Dropbox / other services.
But that „easy” comes with a drawback – slow speed.
Pessimists vs. Optimists

It’s good to have the ability to do critical thinking, to analyze and debate.
On the other hand, if you wish to start a new project, to begin from scratch, it’s better to be an optimist.

Force is not inspiration, though.
Power and less power
Sometimes, I meet people who have power. Generally, doing business.
Yet, they seem to want to transfer this feeling of power to other fields.
„Are you good with earning money? That means you’re a super-human.”
This logic is so faulty.
Yes, it’s nice that you can make so money.
But that’s just a skill.
You’re not a superior person, über alles.
Preparing
Sometimes, in December, I see people posting carols at the very end of the month.
Wouldn’t it be better to post at the beginning of the month?
I sometimes go to meetings and find that people arrive 5 minutes after the start.
Wouldn’t it be better to arrive earlier?
I take part sometimes to meetings, and find that people came unprepared.
Isn’t it better to read from the start?
I communicate online and find that people jump to questions without doing any homework.
Shouldn’t you first read some things?
Condiții concursuri comentarii
Să zicem că organizezi un concurs, premiul se acordă prin tragere la sorți, dar e o minimă condiție, oarecare – un răspuns bun, de exemplu, la o întrebare mai simplă sau mai dificilă.
Cum dai premiile pentru comentariile înscrise în concurs?
Am întâlnit de mai multe ori situația în care organizatorii concursurilor validau răspunsurile înainte de acordarea premiilor.
Eu consider, însă, că poate fi o soluție chiar mai bună de asta – iei toate comentariile înscrise în concurs (probabil ai un contor, în WordPress de exemplu comentariile sunt numerotate în unele template-uri/teme de WordPress). Apoi, mergi la random.org sau la un site similar, și extragi un număr. Iar dacă un concurent nu îndeplinește condiția, mai pui odată comentariul în random.org.
Mi se pare o soluție de preferat decât să validezi de fiecare dată înainte de extragere faptul că un comentariu chiar e valid.
Despre dependența de jocuri de noroc
Te uiți în urmă, la rezultatul unui meci și pare ușor sa pariezi – „Da, știam și eu că o să fie 2-1, era evident!”.
Retrospectiv, pare simplu.
Asta se aplică la aproape orice tip de predicții.
Pare evident că urmează să avem o criză COVID.
Pare evident că piața se va contracta în urma unei crize financiare mondiale, de fiecare date când a avut loc una.
Evident că Bitcoin va prinde, pe când Clubhouse nu.
E clar că TikTok va avea succes, pe când Google+ va da faliment.
Și în filme, când te uiți la niște acțiuni pe care le percepi ca fiind în trecut, că filmul a fost realizat în urmă cu ceva ani, pare evident ce se va întâmpla, pare că soluția aleasă e cam unica bună.
În cărți, e evident că ce au decis personajele e calea optimă.
Doar că dacă ești pus în fața unei foi albe, pentru a scrie o nuvelă, nu mai e evident deloc ce să faci.
Când ești pus să scrii un scurt scenariu, observi că e foarte dificil.
Iar la pariuri nu știi ce să alegi, între roșu și negru – ambele par la fel de tentante.
Chestia asta cu – „Da, privind în urmă, era evident” te face să ai încredere în viitor.
Doar că probabilitatea de a fi negru sau roșu e 50-50.
De asta viitorul e mai greu ca analiza trecutului.
