Unpopular opinion
Sometimes on Reddit people say “This is an unpopular opinion – So an so”.
Of course, this is a pre-emptive defense. “Now that I said that this is an unpopular opinon, as long as I’ve acknowledged this, I can say whatever I wish”.
Also, if people say “This is an unpopular opinion”, they get likes for their thoughts. “Oh, it looks like this is an unpopular opinion. I agree! LIKE!”.
I don’t like this.
It looks like you are aiming for popular opinions.
It makes me think that the default would be “I want to say things that are a popular opinion”.
I don’t want to say only popular things.
I don’t want to focus on the popularity of my opinions, but on the truth of them.

Should phones be banned from concerts?
I was most recently reminded of the no phone movement at Ronnie Scott’s, the famous jazz bar in London, where I was told no photos were allowed. As someone who doesn’t feel the need to document every moment of my life but loves photography, especially for capturing big life events, I was slightly gutted I couldn’t take a picture for a friend’s birthday.
Of course, I could have brought something more discreet like Meta Ray-Bans to sneak a shot (not that I own a pair) or simply snapped a pic outside on my film camera, but that raises another question entirely: should there be exceptions?
A representative for the production, in which Erivo plays all 23 roles, confirmed that there had been a short stop caused by the incident. A commenter on the forum Theatreboard, who said they had been at the show, wrote that Erivo – roughly an hour into the performance – “looked out into the audience and said: ‘Are you filming? Is someone filming?’ and stopped the show”. Another commenter said that they had attended Dracula – which is at the Noël Coward theatre – the following night and that there were extra reminders to the audience about taking photos and filming.

The Balkan eCommerce Summit 2026, held on April 28–29 in Sofia, closed its doors having exceeded every benchmark set by its predecessors: in scale, influence, and ambition. More than 3,200 registered participants from 35 countries filled the venue’s expansive expo halls and conference stages, generating the kind of energy that organisers say simply cannot be manufactured. The contrast with the previous edition ( 2,330 attendees from 23 countries) speaks for itself.
Small things – things that are small – non-big things – opposite of grande – smallest, but a big bigger – just small
From time to time, people tell me “big” things I can do with my life and I lack to do them.
Just one example: one time, I met a guy who went to Standford and INSEAD, who had a big job in a bank, and asked me what I was doing with my life. “I’m a freelancer”, I said. He seemed disappointed with my answer and asked me if I have any plans on improving on this.
Or a lot of people who tell me to marry, so I can do big things.
Or other big things people dream of me.
“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
This is such an easy-to-give answer.
To some, having a big career, or a big family, or a great achievement can mean the world.
To others, even the small things can look important.
I’m on the second category of people.
