Recently, I saw again “On Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)” (2014). Some thoughts on it (warning – with spoilers!)?
- It’s a dark movie, which stops me from recommending it to just about anyone. But, still, it’s a nice movie.
- It’s an incredibly smart movie, I give it a 10/10 as an overall grade.
- I could connect well with the characters, and they gave me emotions. Not all positive, but that’s not the point. The point was, though, that the movie didn’t give me, overall, good emotions.
- Good effects, nice music, well-made costumes.
- Surprising plot.
- Too smart at some point, it was hard for me to understand the movie the first time I saw it (most likely, with some breaks in seeing it, and without my current life experiences).
- It’s an “art” movie, but at times it’s like a hard-to-swallow pill. It’s not easy to take it all in.
