I’ve seen the movie “Airplane!” (1980). My thoughts on it?
- In this movie, you need to have a mindset of being amused. If you watch the movie with the thought “I’m skeptical they can make me laugh”, you might get a confirmation.
- I laughed a few times at the movie.
- I remember reading an article that modern-day things (like movies / TV series / stand-up comedians) tell much more jokes per show than we used to see. They compared this with some old movies. I saw this happening in the movie – not an exaggerated number of jokes.
- The actors played well.
- I especially liked the performances of Lloyd Bridges and Leslie Nielsen.
- The special effects were specific to the time the movie was released.
- They kept repeating one joke. That was a good one, even though repeated quite a lot.
- I enjoyed watching the movie once, but I wouldn’t want to see it again.
- I give it an 8/10. Pretty nice, not so much.
