Bucharest, January 18th, 2022: Zoltan Prosszer, Special Administrator of Romcab SA, Andreea Georgescu, Digital Entrepreneur @Webspire, screenwriter, stand-up comedian, Miruna Stănculescu, Psychotherapist Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy and Radu Georgescu – Chairman of the Board @Seedblink, are speakings at the XII edition of Fuckup Nights Bucharest.
The event is taking place on Thursday, January 27th, starting at 7 PM, on the Zoom online platform. Tickets are available here.
Fuckup Nights Bucharest is part of a series of events taking place globally in 320 cities and 90 countries around the world. The events are aimed, equally, at entrepreneurs, big and small, at corporate people, freelancers and students. Fuckup Nights explores a constructive angle to professional failures, encourages learning from difficult circumstances and facilitates creativity.
“There is no such thing as failure, there is no such thing as success, it all depends on how we look at events, facts, things. The same situation can be viewed as a success by some and as a failure by others. What the market sees as a failure can be managed in such a way that will make the market understand that failure is necessary to create the context for success. Thus, without failure, there is no success. Success cannot be quantified in the absence of failure. Whether failure is necessary for everyone or for just a few, or whether one can learn from the failures of others, I believe no one learns from the failures of others. Everyone needs their own failure to be able to develop personally, professionally, socially, and even at family level. As such, failure is the measure of things, and great successes need failures just as great, otherwise the lesson cannot be learned”, says Zoltan Posszer, Special Administrator Romcab S.A
“After my first stand-up comedy show, where I” bombed “(no one in that room laughed at my jokes), it was bad. Very bad. So bad, in fact, that a friend who had been in the audience asked me, when I got off the stage, if, maybe, it was time for me to giveup stand-up comedy. Even though I was in shock, it was a powerful psychological impact, her question almost offended me. How was I to give up when I hadn’t even started? No way! I still don’t understand what failing at something has to do with giving up. If you like what you’re doing, keep at it!
I didn’t leave the house and I didn’t talk to anyone for the following three days. Then I went on stage again and it went very well again. Failures doesn’t faze me, constant success would, because in that case I truly would have nothing to surprise myself with. And I like my failures bigger and bigger, that can only mean I’ve learned something from my previous ones and I am finally ready for some true #higherlevel failing!”, Andreea Georgescu, Digital Entrepreneur @Webspire, screenwriter, stand-up comedian.
“Fuckup Nights Bucharest is one of the most educational and heart-warming events I have participated in. Many of the speakers talk about the difficult moments in their career for the first time in their life, because that was the first time they found the strength and the courage to share them. We listen to remarkable stories, completely unexpected, very poignant, and thrilling. They teach us powerful career and life lessons, of the kind you do not read in textbooks. They empower us and show us that we are not alone, it doesn’t just happen to us, and that other people, remarkable people, have successfully overcome hurdles and stumbling blocks, even those that seemed pretty immutable”, says Diana Iosu, organizer of Fuckup Nights Bucharest.
Zoltan Prosszer, Special Administrator Romcab S.A. is an engineer, he graduated from a communist university, he has been a self-made entrepreneur since he was 26, he has founded 12 companies in various fields, of which 3 are still active today. He went through bankruptcy twice and has come to believe bankruptcy is a natural state in the life of a company. He has always managed between 500 and 2000 employees and annual revenues between EUR 50 million and EUR 400 million. Mr. Prosszer thinks of himself as a self-taught man, everything he knows he learned by himself. His most important quality is his capacity to accept change and to always identify solutions meant to support companies and help them adapt to the always-changing realities of the market. He always loved exploring new territories, he founded one of the first private companies with its distribution network, long before other retailers have, he started one of the first private companies nationwide, one of the first companies to go bankrupt, and managed to come out of bankruptcy, go into bankruptcy for a second time, and which, as it seems, will come out of it again.
Andreea Georgescu is a Digital Entrepreneur @Webspire, screenwriter, stand-up comedian. Andreea’s great advantage is that she still doesn’t know what she wants to do in life. She’s been a digital entrepreneur at Webspire for over 10 years. In the meantime, she is a screenwriter for movies and comedy TV series, and sometimes does stand-up comedy in New York. She started as a student at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Bucharest, and then continued her studies in Journalism, 3 years ago she graduated from the “Comedy Writing and Performing” program at the American Comedy Institute in New York. How has Andreea gone from being the Editor-in-Chief at Libertatea.ro to developing online reputation management strategies and writing international films? She doesn’t know either and that is just fine!
The event will be hosted by the radio and television journalist Julia Nagy.
