I’ve seen “Whisper of the Heart” (1995) / “Mimi wo sumaseba” (1995). Thoughts?
- It’s a very nice movie, soft, kind, really like a whisper.
- Highly emotional, but not exaggerated. Everything seems at its place.
- The graphics are so nice!
- The songs are not interpreted as if from by singers, but by real people. Great!
- I didn’t expect what was coming next in the script.
- A great quote: “All right, Shizuku, go ahead and do what your heart tells you. But it’s never easy when you do things differently from everyone else. If things don’t go well, you’ll only have yourself to blame.” So many memories from my own experience!
- A great song: John Denver – Take Me Home, Country Roads.
- I didn’t cry at the movie, but I wasn’t far from it.
- I connected a lot to the story.
- I especially enjoyed the script being written by Hayao Miyazaki.
- 10/10.
