Why am I “cold”?

I tend not to give feed-back. Someone does a thing, I ignore. Someone says a thing, I ignore. Thus, I am perceived as cold. Why do I do this?

• One reason for this is for others’ protection – I am annoyed by a lot of things, if I keep them within me, I can be as cold as I like it.
• Another reason? My own protection – I can keep my thoughts hidden. Though not the best answer everytime, it sometimes works.
• Finally – I tend to be shy in public with new people.
