“You need your own set of rules, in order to put some rules in others”

Last night I found out a thing about me:

  • I long praised my need for freedom. “Yes, I’m free, no rules, yes, it’s cool”.
  • My need for freedom also has a negative part – no rules for me means no rules for other. I don’t give feed-back, since there are no boundaries. I avoid any conflict, since everything is allowed.

Let’s take this quote from an article: “No money option – it’s easier to cheat and not buy a ticket within a bus. On the other hand, you can negotiate your entrance at the metro, a thing which is harder in the bus.”

I currently do this, even if I can cheat, I avoid it. Yet, I put no such rules on others. Perhaps I should. Perhaps, I should apply some rules to other people.

I am annoyed by lots of things. Things bug me. Yet, I don’t put rules – you are free to do as you please. Perhaps this is wrong.
